The same philosophy from more then 150 years.
For over 150 years, our philosophy has remained unchanged. Since the late 1800s, when our great-grandfather Costantino first began working these vineyards, the bond between the land and the cellar has been unbreakable.
Ca ‘d Tantin (Piedmontese dialect for ‘Constantino’s House’) is who we are: a family united by a passion for authentic wine. We make wine to share at our own table and with those who seek truth in every glass.
Since 2001, choosing certified organic methods has been a natural step for us: no chemicals, just the rhythm of the seasons. Between the vine rows, grass grows freely to protect the soil’s biodiversity. By refusing herbicides, we preserve the purity of the land and, ultimately, the purity of our wine.
The grapes are selected bunch by bunch
Hand-picked by our family and carefully placed in little red boxes, ensuring the grapes will not be squashed by overweight before arriving in the cellar which would compromise their quality. The soft pressing is carried out with the wooden press so as not to squeeze the grapes excessively, avoiding the passage of phenolic substances from the skin to the pulp, thus protecting both the organoleptic appearance of the wine and its stability over time.
